Men’s and women’s soccer face tough games on the road

The Cougars faced Fleming College and Durham College over the weekend, recording a tie and three losses.

Women's Soccer

On Saturday afternoon, the Cougars battled hard against the Fleming Knights, but were outshot 7 to 6. Petingola made 7 saves and the Cougars walked away with a tie.

A breakdown would occur on Sunday, when the Durham Lords got an early 3-0 lead over the Cougars. They would continue to shut down our offense, not allowing one shot on net. The Lords recorded 9 goals in 32 shots for the win.

Men's Soccer

In game one against the Fleming Knights, a lack of offensive chances led to a 5-0 loss. The Knights outshot the Cougars 14 to 3.

The Cougars would see similar results on Sunday afternoon against the Durham Lords, finishing the weekend with a 6-0 loss.

Goalkeeper Alessandro Ciampagila made countless stops for the Cougars during another busy weekend.

Next action for the Cougars is this weekend against George Brown College (Sept. 24) and Seneca College (Sept. 25) at home.
