Wood, Novello named Freshii Athletes of the Week

Men’s hockey players Caleb Wood & Ethan Novello have been named Sault College’s Freshii Athlete of the Week for the week ending February 2^nd, 2025.

Wood, a fourth-year Business-Marketing student from Sault Ste. Marie, ON was a key offensive catalyst for the Cougars as they swept the Lake State Lakers. Wood recorded 4 goals over the two games, including the game-winner in Saturday’s 3-2 victory. Great work Caleb!

Novello, a second-year General Arts & Science student from Sault Ste. Marie, ON provided solid two-way play while contributing on the offensive side to help the Cougars to a pair of victories. Novello finished the weekend with 2 points (0G, 2A) and several key penalty kills. Way to go Ethan!
