Cougars couldn't soar with the Falcons
January 26th & 27th, 2019 – Sault College Cougars @ Fanshawe College Falcons (London, ON)
The Sault College Cougars Men's Basketball team travelled to London Ontario to compete against the Fanshawe Falcons. On January 26th the Cougars took to the court at 5:00pm to take on said Falcons during their falcon Fest. The Falcons came to play getting an early 10 point lead, eventually the Cougars decided to play, keeping up with the Falcons. Unfortunately the Cougars couldn't overcome their early deficit. Jimmy Thai was able to contribute 16 points in the Cougars effort.
The next day the Cougars were set to try and improve on their Saturday performance, the Cougars were playing well the whole game, but couldn't find the bottom of the net. The Cougars only scored on 19 of the 69 shot attempts, while the Falcons went 40 of 93. Kevon Clarke was a shining spot for the Cougars who scored a game high of 19 points, and pulled down 13 rebounds and had 2 blocks.
The Cougars are back in action this weekend as they host the Humber Hawks, tipoff is at 8:00pm Saturday February 2nd.
